Third Trimester

Week 27 - 43

This phase emphasizes honoring your body’s wisdom, as you and baby naturally align in anticipation of a safe, supported birth.

1

Affirmation

"I am ready and equipped for this beautiful journey to parenthood."

2

What To Focus On

As birth approaches, focus on care and rest, gentle preparation, and reiterating birth plan with doula and your support team. This is also a time to be compassionate with yourself and embrace extra time for final preparations. Prioritize time with self, partner and key persons in your life (other children) as everyone prepares for the new one.

3

Signs to Lookout For

Be mindful of labor signs, shifts in baby movement, and physical changes, such as blood pressure. Stay grounded in your wishes and lean on support if you feel any external pressure to induce before you feel ready. Abandon all attachments to the estimated date as this will allow you the opportunity to disconnect from pressure and enjoy bonus time and be excited for earlier than expected birth date.

4

Baby Milestones

Non-Stress Tests (NST) may be recommended, and your baby moves lower in the pelvis, signaling their own preparation for birth. Activity changes may be noticeable as they continue to grow.
